Researchers identify EVs as potential cancer biomarkers for early detection and monitoring.

Researchers from the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute and La Trobe University have identified extracellular vesicles (EVs) as potential biomarkers for cancer detection and tissue damage assessment. EVs, which carry information from cancer cells, could lead to a non-invasive blood test, improving early cancer diagnosis and monitoring, particularly in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients. This advancement may enhance treatment strategies for blood cancers and other diseases.
