Isle of Wight Council proposes to close six primary schools and improve SEND services by 2025.
The Isle of Wight Council is concluding a consultation on plans to close six primary schools to address an excess of available places and enhance special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) services. Schools at risk include Arreton, Oakfield, Brading, Cowes, Wroxall, and Godshill. The council aims to implement changes by September 2025 in response to a significant rise in SEND needs. Findings will be reviewed by the council's cabinet in December.
