"The Moogai," directed by Jon Bell, is a supernatural horror film that explores the Stolen Generations of Aboriginal Australians through an Indigenous lens. Set in 2024, it follows an Aboriginal couple facing a malevolent spirit, termed "moogai," while addressing themes of intergenerational trauma, police injustice, and the conflict between traditional healing and Western medicine. The film, the first of its kind by a First Nations team, premieres on October 31st.
