Australian department store Myer plans to acquire several fashion brands from Premier Investments, including Just Jeans, Jay Jays, Portmans, Dotti, and Jacqui E. Myer will issue 890.5 million new shares, granting Premier a 51.5% stake in the company, pending shareholder approval. This merger aims to create a retail group with over 780 stores in Australia and New Zealand. Solomon Lew of Premier will join Myer’s board upon completion, with shareholder meetings set for January 2025.
