The Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics in Leeuwarden, Netherlands, has launched "Wu Zetian: the Only Female Emperor of China," featuring 105 artifacts from eight Chinese museums. The exhibition highlights Wu Zetian's rise during the Tang Dynasty (624-705) and aims to enhance Western understanding of Chinese culture. Director Kris Callens noted the uniqueness of the artifacts, many of which are displayed in Europe for the first time, and emphasized ongoing cultural exchanges with China.
