A Myrtle Beach police officer shot an aggressive dog during a public disturbance call on Sunday night at 600 North Ocean Boulevard. Initial non-lethal attempts to subdue the dog failed, prompting the officer to fire. Both the dog, which is expected to recover, and an injured officer, who has been released from the hospital, received medical treatment. Police are asking for any information about the incident to be reported to 843-918-1382.
