Indus Motor Company halts production Oct 29-31 for component shortages, despite a 58% profit increase.

Indus Motor Company (IMC), Pakistan's Toyota assembler, will temporarily halt production from October 29 to 31 due to component shortages and supply chain issues. Despite this, IMC reported a profit increase of 58% for the quarter ending September 30, reaching Rs5.09 billion, with earnings per share rising to Rs64.77. The company declared a Rs39 per share interim dividend and plans to invest Rs1.1 billion to enhance production localization by 2026.
