Dutch police, FBI, and other agencies disrupted infostealer malware services Redline and Meta, seized data, and launched legal actions in Operation Magnus.
Dutch National Police, in collaboration with the FBI and other agencies, have disrupted two major infostealer malware services, Redline and Meta, in Operation Magnus. They seized extensive data, including usernames and passwords, from the servers. Redline is linked to the theft of 170 million passwords, including those from the 2022 Uber hack. Legal actions are underway, though no arrests have been made yet. Cybercriminals may adapt by developing new malware.
