Dangote Cement Plc has invested over $280 million in compressed natural gas (CNG) technology and infrastructure to support Nigeria's CNG Initiative, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This investment aims to transition the company’s fleet to CNG by mid-2026, with plans for 3,100 CNG trucks. The initiative aligns with Nigeria's commitment under the Paris Agreement for net-zero emissions by 2060, promoting cleaner fuel options and energy efficiency.
