A long-planned road crossing scheme in Steeton and Silsden, West Yorkshire, is set to advance after 12 years. Phase 1 includes a pedestrian and cycle bridge over the A629 and a "toucan" crossing at the A6034, costing £12.92 million. The West Yorkshire Combined Authority will approve the business case, while Phase 2, involving additional paths and crossings, awaits further funding. Construction is expected to start in April 2026, with completion by April 2027.
