Fire at Helping Veterans and Families of Indiana building displaces residents, minor injuries reported.

A fire broke out Saturday night at the Helping Veterans and Families of Indiana building in downtown Indianapolis, displacing many veterans and destroying belongings. The Indianapolis Fire Department responded to the alarm around 9:35 p.m. Out of 50 residents, 40 have been accounted for, with two sustaining minor injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation. HVAF offers services like housing, employment, and essential supplies to veterans.
