Tyshion Nautese Hicks, 32, from Vienna, Georgia, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for her involvement in a fraudulent scheme that stole over $30 million in COVID-19 unemployment benefits. From March 2020 to November 2022, Hicks and her co-conspirators filed over 5,000 false claims using stolen identities. She also faces additional charges for illegal possession of a machine gun, with restitution to be determined later.
