Johnnie Walker, a 79-year-old veteran radio host, has retired from his BBC Radio 2 shows after 58 years due to ill health from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a terminal lung condition. In his final episode of The Rock Show, he thanked producer Liz "Queen of Rock" Barnes and played favorite rock anthems. Shaun Keaveny will take over as host on November 1, with Bob Harris succeeding him on Sounds of the 70s starting November 3.
