A man was killed in a hit-and-run on Harmac Road near Nanaimo on the evening of October 24. The victim was walking when struck by an unknown vehicle around 7 p.m. Despite attempts at CPR, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police closed the road for investigation and are seeking public assistance, particularly dashcam footage from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Anyone with information should contact Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345.
