A convenience store clerk in La Grande, Oregon, was arrested for aggravated theft and computer crime after attempting to redeem a $25,000 winning lottery ticket. During a Retail Integrity Check on September 19, the clerk claimed the ticket was a loser. A week later, he mailed the ticket to the Oregon Lottery for redemption. Additional charges of theft by deception and forgery are being considered by the Marion County District Attorney's Office.
