Irish Supreme Court upholds 14.5-year sentence for ex-GAA coach convicted of sexual offenses against a teen.

The Irish Supreme Court has rejected an appeal from a former GAA coach convicted of multiple sexual offenses against a teenage boy. Initially sentenced to 10.5 years, his sentence was increased to 14 years and six months by the Court of Appeal, with 18 months suspended. The Supreme Court upheld this decision, affirming that the Appeal Court had appropriately considered the seriousness of the crimes, which included oral rape and sexual assault.
