Hawaiian Airlines will lay off 73 non-contract employees due to its merger with Alaska Airlines Group, finalized on September 18. Of the affected workers, 57 are based in Hawaii, while the rest are on the mainland. Some employees chose not to accept new positions. The airline, which retains about 1,400 non-contract staff, will offer severance packages and job placement services to those impacted.
