The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached assets worth ₹163.20 crore tied to Prasanna Kumar Roy, a key figure in the West Bengal Group C and D staff recruitment scam. This scam, involving illegal appointments of 3,432 candidates, has led to a total of ₹544.8 crore in attached properties linked to various recruitment irregularities in West Bengal schools. The investigation is ongoing, with Roy and several officials, including former education minister Partha Chatterjee, in custody.
