The former Presidio Palms hotel in Mission Valley, San Diego, will be transformed into 161 affordable apartments for people experiencing homelessness, funded by a $35 million investment from California's Homekey program. Renovations will start soon, with completion expected by April 2025. The San Diego Housing Commission will ensure rent remains affordable for 55 years, and additional funds will support on-site mental health services.
