16-year-old climbs 2,000-foot tower, causes TV station disruption, faces trespassing charge.

A 16-year-old boy from South Sioux City climbed a 2,000-foot TV tower in Plymouth County, Iowa, on Thursday, causing KCAU Channel 9 to temporarily go off air. Authorities were notified at 11:05 a.m., and a deputy located him at 1,500 feet. Rescue crews safely brought him down by 1:00 p.m. He has been charged with trespassing on a public utility. During the incident, a section of Highway K-42 was closed.
