U.S. BLM approves Ioneer's Rhyolite Ridge lithium-boron project in Nevada under Biden administration, set to supply EVs by 2028.

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management has approved Ioneer Ltd's Rhyolite Ridge lithium-boron project in Nevada, the first lithium mine permit under the Biden administration. Despite creating jobs and supporting U.S. critical mineral production, the project faces opposition due to concerns over its impact on the endangered Tiehm's buckwheat and local ecosystems.
