2022 UK FCA survey reveals a 41% increase in reported misconduct, including bullying, sexual harassment, and discrimination, at City firms.

A recent survey by the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) showed a sharp rise in reported bullying, sexual harassment, and misconduct at City firms, with incidents increasing from 1,670 in 2021 to 2,347 in 2022. Bullying and harassment made up 26% of complaints, while discrimination accounted for 23%. Despite disciplinary actions in many cases, pay penalties were rare. The FCA encourages firms to use these findings to reassess their misconduct reporting and handling practices.
