Scottish neurosurgeon pioneers eyebrow keyhole surgery for brain tumor removal, providing less scarring and faster recovery.

Scottish neurosurgeon Anastasios Giamouriadis has pioneered a novel method to remove large brain tumors through patients' eyebrows, utilizing an adapted keyhole surgery technique. This minimally invasive approach results in less scarring and faster recovery times compared to traditional craniotomies. So far, it has been successfully performed on 48 patients, many of whom were discharged within a day. Giamouriadis is also developing a virtual reality training program for other surgeons.
