The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) destroyed contraband worth approximately ₹460 crore on October 25, 2024, as part of "Special Campaign 4.0." This included around 49 lakh foreign cigarettes, 73 kg of various drugs, gutkha, pan masala, and e-cigarettes, all seized for violating customs and drug laws. The destruction was conducted safely at a Delhi waste management facility, overseen by customs officials.
