Leslie Richards, CEO and General Manager of SEPTA, will resign effective November 29, after five years in leadership. Her departure occurs amidst a $240 million budget deficit and follows her previous commitment to a new contract. Richards plans to focus on her role at the University of Pennsylvania and other community opportunities. Scott Sauer, the current COO, will serve as interim General Manager while a nationwide search for a successor begins.
