Avera Health and Mount Marty University have launched the Avera Nursing Advantage program to create an affordable nursing pathway. This initiative covers most tuition and partial room and board for junior and senior nursing students, who must work within the Avera Health System after graduation. Starting in September 2024, it aims to attract more nursing professionals to the region, with initial participation from thirteen seniors.
