Netherlands may not meet 2030 climate goal; emissions reduction projected at 44-52% instead of 55%.

A report from the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency warns the country may not meet its 2030 climate goal of a 55% emissions reduction from 1990 levels, projecting only a 44-52% decrease. Contributing factors include the new government's cancellation of tax plans and subsidies, as well as delays in renewable energy projects. Climate Minister Sophie Hermans is committed to addressing these issues and plans to propose additional measures soon.
