NDP in Canada to introduce motion against anti-abortion efforts by Conservatives in the House of Commons.
The New Democratic Party (NDP) in Canada will introduce a motion in the House of Commons to combat what it terms the "creep" of anti-abortion efforts by the Conservative Party. NDP leader Jagmeet Singh accuses Conservatives of trying to limit abortion access through legislation and petitions. The motion, to be debated soon, also criticizes the governing Liberals for insufficient action on abortion access. Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre has previously identified as "pro-choice."
