200 hot air balloons will be showcased at Myanmar's Taunggyi festival from Nov 9-15, blending tech with tradition, supporting businesses and pursuing UNESCO status.

The Taunggyi Hot Air Balloon Festival in Myanmar's Shan State is scheduled for November 9-15. Featuring 150 to 200 hot air balloons, the event will blend new technologies with traditional practices for its ceremonies. Aimed at supporting local businesses and preserving cultural heritage, organizers are also pursuing UNESCO World Heritage status. This festival has been celebrated since 1894 and occurs during the full moon of Tazaungmon.
