Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu urged the NITI Aayog to establish a special agreement for hilly states, addressing their unique needs. In a meeting, he emphasized the necessity of a "Green Bonus" for the state's conservation efforts, better air and rail connectivity, and a fair share of hydropower royalties. Sukhu also called for research into rising cancer cases and natural disaster challenges. NITI Aayog's Vice Chairman assured that experts would review these proposals.
