German defense firm Rheinmetall has secured a €150 million contract with Spain to supply 81mm Eimos mortar systems, including maintenance and training. Deliveries to the Spanish armed forces are scheduled between late 2024 and late 2027, with orders placed in early Q4 2024. This deal follows Rheinmetall's reported 33% sales increase in H1 2024, reaching €3.8 billion, and a doubling of operating profit to €404 million.
