Buffalo National River enforces temporary fire ban due to drought and wildfire risk.

Due to severe drought and heightened wildfire risk, Buffalo National River has enacted a temporary fire ban. This prohibits wood-fueled fires, including campfires and charcoal grills, in all campgrounds and backcountry areas. However, camp stoves and gas grills are permitted in designated locations. Smoking is restricted to vehicles and non-combustible areas, and fireworks remain banned. The ban will stay in place until conditions improve. For updates, contact local visitor centers.
