16-year-old acquitted of murder, insufficient evidence; others plead guilty to lesser charges.
A Manchester judge has acquitted four young men, including a 16-year-old, of murder and manslaughter charges in the stabbing death of 18-year-old Coby Tristram. The judge ruled there was insufficient evidence, concluding the 16-year-old acted in self-defense. While all murder charges were dropped, some defendants pleaded guilty to lesser offenses, such as possessing an offensive weapon. Sentencing is scheduled for November 25.
