Missouri's Office of Childhood misses child care subsidy payment deadline due to software issues, affecting 400+ providers.

Missouri's Office of Childhood has missed its deadline to clear a backlog of child care subsidy payments, which has persisted since December due to software changes. While current payments are accurate, over 400 providers are still lacking support compared to 2019. The state processes about 4,000 applications monthly and aims to reduce pending requests significantly in the coming weeks.
