Ghana's Parliament faces a standoff as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) claims majority status after Speaker Alban Bagbin declared four seats vacant due to party-switching MPs. This decision, however, was stayed by the Supreme Court, allowing the affected MPs to retain their positions. Despite the court's intervention, NDC MPs have occupied the majority side of the chamber, intensifying tensions with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), which disputes the NDC's claim.
