100 Bronze Age artifacts found anonymously in Gryfino, northwest Poland, under investigation for illegal excavation.
Polish authorities are investigating the discovery of over 100 Bronze Age artifacts, including weapons and jewelry, found anonymously in Gryfino, northwest Poland. The items, acquired through illegal excavation, have lost their archaeological context, preventing radiocarbon dating. This find is among the largest in recent years. Those responsible could face up to eight years in prison. The artifacts are now with the Provincial Heritage Conservator's office for further assessment.
