38-year-old Malczewski's rape and sexual assault prison sentence increased from 2.5 years to 6 years after a Court of Appeal review.

Szczepan Zenon Malczewski, 38, from Scarborough, had his prison sentence for rape and sexual assault increased from two years and nine months to six years after a Court of Appeal review. The original sentence was deemed unduly lenient, failing to account for the severe psychological harm inflicted on the 20-year-old victim during the attack in a pub toilet. The appeal was initiated by Detective Constable Nick Burton on behalf of the victim.
