High Court dispute over €2.4m racehorse ownership between Steven Parkin, Clipper BCS LLP, Joe Foley, and Ballyhane Stud Ltd.

A legal dispute is underway in the High Court over the ownership of retired racehorse "Sands of Mali," valued at €2.4 million. Jersey businessman Steven Parkin and Clipper BCS LLP assert they fully own the horse, purchased for £270,000 in August 2020, countering claims by Joe Foley and Ballyhane Stud Ltd for a 50% share. Parkin seeks the horse's transfer to a stud of their choice, alongside addressing outstanding breeding fees for it and four other stallions.
