Alberta government invests $112M for 250 modular homes in Jasper, addressing housing needs after wildfire.

The Alberta government will invest $112 million to build 250 modular homes in Jasper, a town heavily impacted by a wildfire in July that destroyed over 800 housing units. The homes, aimed at residents displaced by the disaster, will be rented at or near market rates and are set to be available by January. This initiative addresses both immediate housing needs and ongoing shortages in the area. An additional 25 units will be constructed in Hinton for displaced seniors.
