2 residents evacuate, house severely damaged in Mohawk fire; cause undetermined.

A house fire in Mohawk, New York, late Saturday night displaced two residents who safely evacuated while asleep. Firefighters took about 30 minutes to control the blaze, which left the home severely damaged. The cause of the fire is still undetermined, as Montgomery County Fire Coordinator Dale R. Furman found insufficient evidence. In a separate incident, a Palatine Bridge man was arrested for illegal firearm possession.
