New Zealand ranked last in a global survey on infrastructure satisfaction, with only 27% of citizens expressing contentment, a decline from previous years. The country underperformed in four of ten metrics, although it excelled in airport and digital infrastructure. Acknowledging urgent needs, the National Government is creating a National Infrastructure Agency and plans to invest $20.7 billion from 2024 to 2027 to improve housing and infrastructure.
