New York woman on dialysis finds suitable kidney donor from a local bar patron.

Kate Marsh, a New York woman on dialysis for kidney failure, found a donor in an unexpected place: Tavern on the Mall bar in Forestville. After the owner sought patrons' blood types, teacher Allison Kwilos, who matched Marsh's O-positive type, volunteered to donate her kidney. The transplant occurred on May 20, giving Marsh a new lease on life. In recognition of Kwilos' generosity, a tree was planted at her school to inspire others.
