Lidl, a UK supermarket chain, is expanding its plant-based offerings in response to a 12% rise in demand. The new Vemondo Plant! brand will introduce 28 items, including plant-based meats and dairy alternatives, with a full rollout expected by January 2024. Lidl aims for plant-based products to make up 25% of total protein sales by 2030 as part of its commitment to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050 and promote sustainable food choices.
