Ex-CBN Governor Emefiele's companies allegedly received unfair vehicle contracts, testified former CBN procurement head Gana.

In an Abuja High Court, Stephen Gana, a former procurement head at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), testified that two companies owned by ex-CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele received unfair advantages in vehicle procurement contracts. Gana stated that the CBN purchased Toyota vehicles worth N99,900,000 from April 1616 Nigeria Ltd via direct procurement, bypassing competitive bidding. Emefiele faces multiple charges, including fraud and forgery, with the trial ongoing.
