Himachal Pradesh's Chief Minister Sukhu announced that the new Hamirpur Medical College will feature modern facilities and a 292-bed capacity, addressing local healthcare needs. The project, costing over Rs 400 crore, began in 2014 and is set for completion by March 2026. An additional Rs 240 crore has been allocated from the state government. The college will also include a cancer hospital and nursing college, enhancing regional healthcare services.
