Chinese researchers create ultra-strong lunar bricks for potential space station construction, testing them aboard Tianzhou-8.

Researchers at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China have created "lunar bricks" from a lunar soil simulant, which are more than three times stronger than conventional bricks. They also developed a 3D-printing robot for lunar construction. These bricks will be tested for durability in space aboard the Tianzhou-8 spacecraft, with the first returning to Earth by late 2025. This initiative supports China's long-term plans for space exploration and an international lunar research station by 2035.
