Canadian para-triathlete Stefan Daniel, 27, won his sixth world championship title in the men's standing classification, completing the sprint-distance test in 59 minutes and 26 seconds. This victory followed a crash at the Paris Paralympics, which he described as "redemption." Australia's Jack Howell and Portugal's Filipe Marques finished second and third, respectively. In the women's wheelchair classification, Winnipeg's Leanne Taylor placed fourth.
