Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan and Turkey signed an Operational Agreement for electricity exchange.

Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Turkey have agreed to exchange electricity to enhance their bilateral relations. The arrangement, facilitated by an 'Operational Agreement' between Nakhchivan's energy service and Turkey's TEİAŞ, will see Nakhchivan export 75 megawatts to Turkey and import 40 megawatts in return. This exchange, approved by ENTSO, requires both regions to operate in "passive island mode."
