Yusef D. Hairston, a 31-year-old from Flint, has been sentenced to 4 years and 9 months in federal prison for illegally importing and selling machinegun conversion devices. He pleaded guilty to possessing and transferring these devices, which can convert semi-automatic firearms into fully automatic weapons. Authorities intercepted shipments from China intended for him, linking his operations to undercover ATF investigations. He will also serve two years of supervised release.
