On October 18, a fire broke out on the 17th floor of Cleveland Tower, a high-rise in Birmingham city center. West Midlands Fire Service deployed eight fire engines and 40 firefighters to manage the situation. One man was hospitalized for smoke inhalation. Residents were evacuated but allowed to return, except those on the affected floor. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and nearby roads remain closed, causing traffic delays.
